Business Sponsor Spotlight: Northwoods Brewing Co.

In early spring 2023, NFC was approached by Northwoods Brewing Co. out of Northwood, New Hampshire, about developing a beer commemorating Maine’s State Heritage Fish waters. The goal was to raise awareness of this unique and important resource, as well as to raise money for wild native fish conservation.

Part of their Preservation Line of beer, Northwoods Brewing Co. created Heritage Waters IPA, to help give back to a cause that supports and protects wild places and a native species they care about.

As a result of the hard work of owners Jeff and Becky Fenerty, and their daughter Sarah who contributed the artwork and serves as Marketing Director, Northwoods Brewing Co. has raised over $6,000 for Native Fish Coalition to put toward wild native fish conservation initiatives.

Northwoods Brewing Co. has also provided NFC with an important venue for presenting on Maine’s State Heritage Fish, wild native fish conservation, and Native Fish Coalition. Adding to this is a marketing campaign that reaches an even broader demographic.

And of course the fact that Heritage Waters IPA is available in stores across northern New England adds a additional form of visibility which like marketing efforts, reaches a broad audience.

This is what good corporate citizenship looks like. Northwoods Brewing Co. doesn’t have to do this. It takes extra effort to put it all together, and the effort they have put in is exceptional and commendable.

Special thanks to Jeff, Becky and sarah, and the folks at northwoods brewing co. for stepping up in support of wild native fish, maine’s state heritage fish, and nfc.
