NFC to Receive 2026 Charles Johnson Maynard Award From Newton Conservators...

NFC used Massachusetts to proof-of-concept our Holistic Stream Assessment/Restoration methodology. We chose Massachusetts due to its varied fish habitat - from rural to urban - and proximity to NFC leadership. Three of the four projects were done in Newton, Massachusetts.

NFC's work in Newton, Massachusetts, on suburban and urban streams and ponds was recently spotlighted on a webinar hosted by Newton Conserevators. the webinar and our work was also spotlighted in an article in The Heights news.  

Most recently, Newton Conservators announced that NFC will be the recipient of their 2026 Charles Johnson Maynard Award.  The Charles Johnson Maynard award recognizes efforts “to improve biodiversity, habitat reclamation, and natural resource protection.”
