The Ohio chapter of NFC recently attended the Sturgeon Release Celebration at the Cuyahoga River in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. OH NFC tabled at the event to increase awareness of the wild native fish in the river, Lake Erie, and the watershed as a whole. This included displaying a tank of fish collected from the river by NFC.
This was one of several events related to lake sturgeon that were held on the river. One, Sturgeon Fest, was held in downtown Cleveland in conjunction with Cleveland Metroparks, and another with the Summit County Parks Dept.
