JOSH SUMMER

JOSH SUMMER has lived in South Carolina for over 20 years. He grew up as an outdoorsperson and learned to fly fish on the rivers of Michigan, his native state. Josh enjoys traveling, hiking, backpacking, and fly fishing across the western states. Over the years Josh developed an interest in backcountry wild native fish and their habitats. Josh was introduced to Native Fish Coalition as a result of attending a presentation given by Matthew Lewis, founding chair of the Alabama chapter. This also led to an interest in the wild native redeye bass of the southeast. The formation of a new chapter in South Carolina offered Josh an opportunity to get involved in native fish conservation in the waters close to home.
