JOHN RICH

Sentiment without action is the ruin of the soul
— Edward Abbey

JOHN RICH came of age during the formative years of what is now known as the environmental movement. He has volunteered for numerous conservation organizations when not working his day job in television. John has hiked and backpacked throughout the southern Appalachian Mountains, and setting up camp near a coldwater stream. He received a fly fishing outfit as a gift late in life, and used it to catch wild native southern strain brook trout. This triggered an interest in native trout, which uncovered the sad history of logging and subsequent introduction of nonnative trout. John is a vocal advocate for not only native trout, but all native fish, a passion he brings to his role in Native Fish Coalition. He can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
