ARRAN KERR

ARRAN KERR is an avid fixed-line angler with a passion for wild native southern Appalachian strain brook trout. His favorite place to fish is the small streams of Cherokee National Forest in northeastern Tennessee. Arran also appreciates other small native fishes found in these waters, including warpaint shiner, Tennessee shiner, banded sculpin, and eastern blacknose dace. He advocates against the construction of rock cairns and dams, and the channeling of streams which negatively impacts macroinvertebrates that provide important forage for fish, as well as habitat for aquatic lifeforms such as native hellbender salamanders.
