BRIAN HUTCHISON

The health and well-being of wild native fish populations represent the quality of the natural world that I wish for my children
— Brian Hutchinson

BRIAN HUTCHISON grew up eastern Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Massachusetts and has a camp in tge northern White Mountains region of New Hampshire. From a very early age, Brian developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent countless hours fishing with his father and brother. Brian took up fly fishing while in graduate school in Colorado, and enjoys combining this low-impact fishing with exploring the backcountry. He understands the value of wild native wild fish and the need to preserve the habitat and ecosystems that sustain them. Brian moved to Medford, Massachusetts, in 2008 and has worked as a scientist-engineer and executive in a number of biotechnology companies. He has been active with the United Fly Tyers, the oldest fly-tying club in the nation, for more than 10 years and is the current president.
