ALIESS JOHN

There are some who can live without wild things and some who cannot.
— Aldo Leopold

ALIESS JOHN was born and raised in the Concord area of New Hampshire. Growing up, he spent much of his time fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. Aliess was given a hand-me-down fly rod by his grandfather while in high school and fell for the sport. He started out fishing for warmwater species in the rivers close to home, transitioned to stocked trout waters, and finally decided to get away from the crowds and manufactured fisheries and pursue wild native brook trout in the unspoiled headwater streams throughout the state. When Aliess is not working as a High School teacher, he can be found fishing the small streams and remote ponds across the Granite State. Aliess can be reached at Info@NativeFishColaition.org
