KYLE GRASSO is a graduate student at the University of Vermont, where he studies aquatic invasive species. Kyle is curretly focused on researching the postential impacts of invasive nonnative round goby on the Lake Champlain ecosystem. Originally from southcentral Massachusetts, Kyle earned a degree in Fisheries Ecology & Conservation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2017. After graduation, he spent six years working as a Fisheries Technician in Massachusetts and New York. Here he gained experience in anadromous river herring restoration, coldwater and warmwater fisheries management, and the conservation of endangered, threatened, and species of special concern freshwater fish. Through his work in the field and years of fishing, Kyle has developed a passion for conserving wild native fish, with a focus on rare and at-risk species.
