Ohio NFC Hosts Stream Sampling Event on Euclid Creek...

The Ohio chapter of NFC recently partnered with Cleveland Metroparks and Friends of Euclid Creek on a stream sampling event on Euclid Creek at Euclid Creek Reservation. Multitude species of native fish across 4 families were encountered, including pumkpinseed, white sucker, central stoneroller, creek chub, western blacknose dace, and largemouth bass. The group also captured nonnative steelhead, see below center, showing just how widespread the nonnative fish problem is.

The event generated some media coverage as well which will help stimulate more interest in wild native fish.

Special thanks to OH NFC, Friends of Euclid Creek, and Cleveland Metroparks for making this educational event happen.
