On the river: South Carolina NFC Tables Across the State

SC NFC Board members Josh Summer, Scott Keener, and Kyle Gross.

The South Carolina chapter of NFC recently completed its fourth tabling event of 2022. In attendance were Chair Will Mundhenke, Vice Chair Scott Keener, and Members at Large Kyle Gross and Josh Summer.

One of the most important things NFC does is to inform and educate the masses in regard to wild native fish and why they are important. When people understand the important role that native fish play in the ecosystem, they are more likely to support efforts to preserve and restore them, as well as adoption behaviors that lessen the impact to them.

Each event has put our SC chapter in front of folks they otherwise might never be able to reach, while selling logo schwag which helps brand native fish and fund NFC projects.

The SC chapter of NFC formed in March 2022. They have spent their first year getting the word out, establishing relationships, and working on several projects. SC NFC tabled at events hosted by Orvis Greenville, 13 Stripes Brewery, and the Savannah River Rapids Park.
